“An Introduction to Galois Representations Attached to Elliptic Curves “
Elliptic curves are ubiquitous in the field of mathematics. They appear everywhere from diophantine equations to mathematical physics. One of the most interesting facts about elliptic curves is that we can attach a Galois representation to each one of them. The goal of this talk is to introduce Galois representations attached to elliptic curves and highlight some of their uses in the study of elliptic curves.
