Welcome to Teacher Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow Irene Erazo Estrada

Irene Erazo grew up in Túquerres, Colombia, where she developed her love for fútbol and mathematics, two passions that have shaped her journey ever since. Mathematics, in particular, has played a central role, helping transform dreams into reality and inspiring her to support others in pursuing their own aspirations. 

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Nariño (Pasto, Colombia), her M.Sc. in Mathematics from Universidad del Cauca (Popayán, Colombia), and her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tulane University. 

Her research interests lie in mathematical modeling and biological fluid dynamics.
