Welcome to Visiting Assistant Professor Jacob Van Grinsven

“I am excited to join the Department of Mathematics this fall.
Broadly, I am interested in noncommutative structures in algebra with a focus on the interplay of the representation theory of algebras and corepresentation theory of Hopf algebras.

Outside of mathematics, I enjoy watching soccer, biking, playing pickleball, and trying new food!

I’m excited for the year ahead, working with students and settling into the department as I begin this new role.”
